"BLACK WATER " "Agua negra"(2007) o "Cocodrilo Dundee dónde estás cuando te necesitan??"

Yo siempre le tuve miedo al agua oscura ... o sea, no se por qué pero nada me aterraba mas que el agua de las represas al atardecer ... tal vez era por mi adoración a leer leyendas acerca de bichos fantásticos que temía que algún reptil prehistórico acechara en alguna de ellas pero lo cierto es que recuerdo un día que estaba en un barco de noche y se veía el agua alrededor ... fuchi preferiría pasar una tarde completa adentro de un serpentario XDDD

Y como no tengo suerte ésta peli es un mix de ambos ... agua oscura y REPTILES!!!

Honestamente yo me esperaba la típica peli que yo denomino "ZOO" con un bicho malo hiperdesarrollado, grupo de nabos que al hacer turismo tipo Camel Trophy invaden su territorio y pasan a convertirse en su cena y en parte no la erré salvo por un aliciente ... ESTÁ BASADA EN HECHOS REALES.

La trama va de una pareja y de la hermana de la chica de vacaciones en una zona medio pantanosa, quienes luego de sufrir un accidente se percatan que tuvieron la buena suerte de ponerse en la mira de un cocodrilo de más que respetables dimensiones, pero con gustos algo sádicos ya que al mejor estilo felino le gusta esperar a su presa y tiene una paciencia de monje budista. Como es de esperarse tarde o temprano el bicho quiere almorzar y hará todo lo posible para cagarles las vacaciones y ellos lo posible para cagarle el almuerzo.

La peli en sí pareciera caer en el comunacho de éste género pero sin embargo safa, algo que conociendo mi amorrr por hacer pedazos este tipo de producciones hasta a mí me sorprendió, ya que lejos de transformar en Rambos a los protagonistas le dieron un enfoque más realístico con un final algo inesperado. Las actuaciones a cargo de una ínfima cantidad de actores estuvieron más que bien y con elementos simples y a pesar de tener toques de "ROGUE" un "FRANKENFISH " salatarín y el coco de Bridget Fonda (La sobrina de Jane hija de Peter y nieta de Peter), de la rubia tonta bronceada aburrida como diría el gran Luca Prodan se las ingenió para hacer un producto digno aunque el director debería aprender un poco de armas y de hábitos de caza de estos reptiles.

I was allways afraid of dark waters ... no idea why but there was nothing that terrified me more than the reflections of the last lights of sunsets over the lake near my farm when I was a child ... maybe it was cause my adiction to read legends and old myths about fantastic reptiles and that gave me the chills thinking maybe one of them could live hidden in there, anyway even as a teen I remember being in a ship and thinking while I was watching the dark sea "What t he fxxk am I doing here ..."

And cause my luck is a mess this movie is about both things!!! Dark water and reptiles!!

Honestely I was expecting the typical movie that I call "ZOO" with an oversized baddd pet, a group of idiots doing tourism in the wrong place (Read ITS territory ) and obviously becoming ITS DINNER and in somehow I wasn t totally wrong but with a tiny sth .. IT S BASED IN TRUE EVENTS ..

It tells the story of a couple and the woman's sister who are on holidays in a swamp area, but after having an accident they realize that their luck put them in the view of a natural professional born killer with sadistic behaviour, cause with a feline mood it likes to wait for its pray as much as it takes and it can compete in pacience with a budhist monk. But because sooner or later it may want to have an snak it' ll do his best to lunch "with" them .. and they' ll try their best in ruining its apetite.

The movie itself could land into the field of "FAST ACTION HERO" = violent situation, group of people getting attacked one by one and of course suddenly one of then becomes Rambo, but in spite of that it has its positive points, cause the idea itself was sorrounded by a realistic halo with a not expected ending.

The few actors on it made really great performances and in spite of having a "touch" of: "ROGUE", a jumping "FRANKENFISH " and the cocro from "PLACID LAKE" by Bridget Fonda (Jane' s niece, Peter 's daughter), the blondie in this one managed to carry on her shoulders a convincent product, even the director should learn a bit more about fireweapons and big reptiles hunting habits.

I THINK IT DESERVES A: 7 1/2
